Day two (or was it one and a half?) of our vacation found us driving from Winona to Milwaukee, for Deep Fried Saturday. This is an annual event held by Mike's brother Mark and sister-in-law Stephanie, a really big deal where everybody brings all sorts of things to deep fry. Almost 100 people attended, there was karaoke and a dunk tank, and much fun was had by all. Our contribution this year was deep-fried bacon (yummy!), deep-fried green beans, and deep-fried fruits of various types. (Mike's favorite: Deep-fried cantaloupe.)
